Value where it belongs.

The Mission

We are building towards a world where farmers getting a fair share is the norm, not the exception.

Karta Collective Foundation builds consumer brands from what farmers grow — creating products people genuinely want to buy, while keeping more of the value with the communities that create it.

We are starting with one category and building towards many. Our ambition is to reshape the food value chain at scale, so that doing right by the consumer and doing right by the farmer become the same thing.

100% of our profits go back to farming communities and to growing the mission.

Why We're Different

Clean food, fairly paid farmers.

01

Source directly.

No intermediaries. We source directly from farmers, working through credible grassroots organisations to reach large farming clusters.

02

Capture more value.

We bring secondary processing, sorting and packaging in-house, so farmer earnings are tied directly to final shelf value rather than commodity rates.

03

Operate lean.

AI-native operations automate planning, reporting and workflows, keeping overheads low to route maximum margin back to communities.

04

Giving back isn't a promise, it's the law.

As a not-for-profit, returning profits to farmers is legally binding, not a marketing promise. It's built into what we are.

Our Kartas

Our work begins in Mithila, with makhana. Many families here have grown it for generations, and each one has its own story.

There are many more stories to tell. We’re just getting started.

Our Partners

We work with makhana farmers through SAKHI, which has worked across Mithila for more than three decades.

And there are more partnerships behind this work. We’ll introduce them as we grow.
